Sending love to my clients and friends everywhere on this New Years Eve. Thank you for sharing your sacred stories, pain, and joy with me in 2023. In a world that at times can forget so easily, where we learn to pretend there are other things that matter more, thank you for reminding me of the depth, courage, and wildness of the human heart.
Thank you for helping me remember what is truly important, for helping me take the risk of allowing others to matter, allowing this life to matter. Thank you for helping me care more, not less; to set aside the fantasy of transcending vulnerability and sensitivity, and instead making use of the broken and the tender as passageways to the heart. Thank you for helping me to come off the sidelines, and to fully participate in and partake of the bounty that has been placed inside and around each of us.
Thank you for helping Love to be born inside my heart, raging and alive, revealed in the core of my cells, organs, and synapses, my body overflowing at times with the force of life. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to behold you in the process of reclaiming your personal wisdom. Thank you for including me as you re-organize your perceptions, discover the light of your imagination, and return your nervous system to breath, rest, creativity.
Please consider pausing with me today, so together we can take a break from the holiday madness and, in awe, together, remember the gift of life. Together, let's behold the utter majesty of what it really means to have been given a human body, the chance to touch the earth, listen to the birds, and explore the magnificence of this manifestation with our fellow travelers.
On this threshold . . . as the old year falls away and a new day, in a New Year dawns, let us share the most profound gift of our presence, listening carefully to others and what is most alive in their hearts. May we each care deeply about how others are making meaning of their experience and what brings their hearts alive. May we remember that just like us they only want to be safe, happy, and free.
May we speak words of kindness, to touch and hold them and do what we can so that they feel felt. Let us validate the emotional worlds of others and provide safe haven for their true essence to unfold in the field between. Let us all, together, bear witness to the majesty of pure spirit as it comes into this world of time and space.
Please, contemplate with me, that in the end, when we are passing from this world, there may be only one thing that truly matters: did I love while I was here?
I notice a heartful, contented, peaceful "yes" in my chest as I receive and appreciate your presence in my life. I love your love . . . and I love loving you.
Thank you.
